Elämä on maisema -installaatio, Maisemissa, Voipaalan taidekeskus, 2021. Paperiveistoksista koostuva installaatio on tehty vanhoista sanomalehdistä, liisteristä ja mustasta pigmentistä.
Maisemissa -ryhmänäyttely pohjautui ympäristön kokemukselle. Työskentelimme näyttelyä edeltävän kesän Voipaalan ympäristössä ja valmistimme näyttelyn teokset kukin taiteilija omista lähtökohdistamme. Lähestyin aihetta ajan käsitteiden sekä eletyn elämän ja sen jättämien jälkien kautta. Elämä on maisema- installaatiossa kasvun ja kokemuksen muodostamat kuviot ja jäljet rakentavat ajan ja elämänmaisemia. Valmistustekniikka muistuttaa hieman ampiaisen pesän rakennusta. Innoituksensa installaatio sai Voipaalan metsän käävistä. Käävät ovat tärkeä osa metsän organismia ja elämää.
The installation Life is a Landscape, In the Landscape, Voipaala Art Center, 2021. The installation, which consists of paper sculptures, is made of old newspapers, glue and black pigment.
The group exhibition In the Landscape was based on the experience of the environment. We worked in the surroundings of Voipaala in the summer of 2021 and from there on created the works for the exhibition each artist on our own ways. I approached the subject through the concepts of time and the life lived and the traces it leaves. In the installation Life is a Landscape, the patterns and traces formed by growth and experience build up the landscape of time and life. The production technique is reminiscent of building a wasp nest. Installation inspired by the swirls of the Voipaala forest. The swirls are an important part of the organism and life of the forest.
