Koski – Seinämaalauksen vaiheet
Aloitimme syksyllä 2016 projektisuunnitelmasta ja kehyskuvion suunnittelusta. Sopivan paikan löydettyämme alkoi lupien haku ja neuvottelut valitun seinän omistajien kanssa. Kevättalvella 2017 aloitimme kehyskuvion elementtien piirtämisen ja sapluunoiden leikkaaminen. Huhtikuussa Taidesuunnistuksen aikaan haastattelimme seinää ympäröivien taloyhtiöiden asukkaita koskien seinämaalauksen maisemallisen osuuden aihepiiriä. Asukkaiden jättämien mielipiteiden pohjalta teimme kolme luonnosta Koskipuiston maisemista. Kerrostalon hallitukset yhdessä seinän omistajan kanssa valitsivat yhden luonnoksista jonka mukaan seinämaalauksen maisemallinen osuus toteutettaisiin.
Toukokuussa luonnoksen valinta oli tehty. Aloitimme työt seinällä 6.6 vastaanottamalla henkilönosturin ja käymällä läpi sen käyttöohjeet. Itse seinämaalaus alkoi piirtämällä 5 x 5m ympyrä seinään. Seuraavaksi kiinnitimme teipein sapluunoita seinälle ja huomasimme että epätasaiseen seinään sopii parhaiten pesusienillä maalaaminen, töpöttäen. Sapluunoiden jälkeen jatkoimme maisemallisen osuuden alaosaan, vesiaiheeseen. Toteutimme veden maalauksen pääasiassa teippisapluunoilla. Maisemalliseen osuuteen seinämaalauksesta meni seitsemän päivää. Tämän jälkeen aloitimme kehyskuvion toteutuksen maisemallisen osuuden ympärille. Kehyskuviossa käytettiin sapluunoiden kanssa spraymaalia. Kehyskuviot ja näin ollen koko seinämaalaus valmistui 16.6.

Rapids – Stages of mural painting
We started in the fall of 2016 with a project plan and frame design. After finding a suitable location, we began applying for permits and negotiating with the owners of the selected wall. In the spring and winter of 2017, we started drawing the frame elements and cutting out the stencils. In April, during Art Orientation, we interviewed residents of the housing estates surrounding the wall regarding the theme of the landscape part of the mural. Based on the opinions left by the residents, we made three sketches of the landscapes of Koskipuisto. The apartment building boards, together with the owner of the wall, selected one of the sketches according to which the landscape part of the mural would be implemented.
In May, the sketch was selected. We started work on wall 6.6 by receiving a personal crane and going through its operating instructions. The mural itself began by drawing a 5 x 5m circle on the wall. Next, we taped stencils to the wall and discovered that painting with sponges, dabbing, works best on an uneven wall. After the stencils, we continued to the lower part of the landscape section, the water motif. We mainly painted the water using tape stencils. The landscape section of the mural took seven days to complete. After this, we started creating the frame pattern around the landscape section. Spray paint was used with the stencils for the frame pattern. The frame patterns and thus the entire mural were completed on June 16.
